The Metro system is probably the best, the cleanest, the safest and the most accessible in the country.  The degree of access found is in large part due to the tireless efforts of a few very committed citizens with disabilities....we will always be indebted to them.

  • Metro has a range of features designed to make the system accessible to everyone
  • All bus and train operators and station managers receive training on the special needs of people with disabilities.

  • Never hesitate to ask any Metro employee for assistance!

                                                                                                                                       AIRPORTS

Getting to Arlington from any distance using air travel is remarkably accessible.  This too is in large part due to exhaustive efforts by a few very dedicated disability activists.

The Ronald Reagan National Airport, located in Arlington, Virginia is served by metro rail.  So, if your destination is near a metro rail station, simply exit the plane, enter the metro rail car and you are on your way.

If you fly into Baltimore -Washington Airport or Dulles Airport there are shuttles that will take you to the rail stations.
